Click and GoServiceNet Asset Inspection was created in response to the requirements of service companies who need to install, then periodically inspect and maintain field assets. Typical customers include companies that install and maintain building safety equipment of all types, or utility companies, who need to manage assets at remote sites.

For most potential users, the problems revolve around managing the asset data base, efficiently scheduling planned inspections, carrying out any required maintenance, generating inspection reports and safety certificates and interfacing to an accounting system to generate invoices.

Unlike a break/fix field service scenario, an asset inspection "job" might include inspecting all the listed assets on a building or site. That process might take several days to complete, by a team of engineers. Other requirements which the system manages include:
  • Identifying "found" assets while in the field and creating a job to inspect/maintain these assets
  • Status reporting on progress towards completion
  • Quotations
  • Access to the asset register from a browser anywhere in an organization
  • Automated reminders for re-inspection at specified intervals
  • Generating safety certificates, upon invoice payment
